At today’s Board of County Commissioner meeting, Commissioner Jason Lowe recommended Dr. Noor Jihan Abdul-Haqq for a seat on the Oklahoma City-County Board of Health. Lowe’s motion to approve Dr. Abdul-Haqq passed 3-0. Dr. Abdul-Haqq is a board-certified integrative pediatrician and dedicated community health advocate for Oklahoma County.

Oklahoma County District Attorney Vicki Zemp Behenna announced the conviction of Canaan Jenkins, 19, by an Oklahoma County jury. Jenkins was charged with Assault and Battery with a Deadly Weapon as a result of a shooting at the State Fair on September 23, 2023.
