The Oklahoma County Board of County Commissioners held its regular meeting on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at 9:00 AM in the Oklahoma County Office Building, 320 Robert S Kerr Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73102, Room 204. Key Items for Discussion/Approval:

Financial Approvals and Reports:

  • Approval of claims, purchase card payments, and Workers’ Compensation claims.
  • Employee benefit payments and medical claims.

Property & Equipment Management:

  • Transfer of county vehicles and IT equipment between departments.
  • Approval of surplus resolutions for various vehicles and equipment.

Grant Applications & Community Programs:

  • Submission of a $1,000,000 grant application to the U.S. Department of Justice for a Juvenile Drug Treatment Court program.
  • Approval of agreements for the 2025 Oklahoma County Free Fair Spring Livestock Show.
  • Appointments to the Oklahoma County Free Fair Board Association.

Public Safety & Infrastructure Projects:

  • Consideration of a sales tax election to fund a new county jail.
  • Relocation of gas utility lines in support of bridge reconstruction near Arcadia.
  • Architectural services agreement for additional courtrooms at the Juvenile Justice Center.

Executive Session:

  • Confidential discussions on pending litigation, property matters, and personnel appointments. Legal matters involving pending litigation.
