The Oklahoma County Board of County Commissioners held its regular meeting on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at 9:00 AM in the Oklahoma County Office Building, 320 Robert S Kerr Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73102, Room 204. Key Items for Discussion/Approval:

Financial Approvals and Reports:

  • Review and approval of all claims, purchase orders, and benefits payments.
  • Workers' Compensation claim payments and litigation updates.

Community Recognitions and Proclamations:

  • Resolutions for grants to fund sidewalk construction in Spencer, a new Rhino Guardrail Pro Pile Driver, and a Simex PLC30 Planer for District One.
  • Approval of ARPA-funded subrecipient agreements with organizations including NEAT Educational Consultants, Urban Bridge, and Habitat for Humanity to support mental health services, housing, and educational programs.
  • Proclamation claiming October 28, 2024, as First Responder’s Day.

Department and Infrastructure Updates:

  • Approval of elevator maintenance in the Annex Building and shutdown schedule for asbestos abatement.
  • Discussion of the ongoing jail inspection and an update on the annual jail inspection report.

Executive Session:

  • Confidential discussions regarding pending litigation, property acquisitions for a new detention center site, and grant applications for public safety improvements.
